Meet and greet by your tour guide at the scheduled group pick-up time at 3:00 PM at Bordeaux St. Jean Rail Station.

Walking in the Saint Emilion Wine Jurisdiction, Tour of Château Villemaurine with wine Grand Clu Classé Tasting, discovery of the fermenting rooms and guided visit to its underground quarries.

Return to the hotel and preparation to the dinner cooked by chef Alexandre Baumard who chooses the best local produce to concoct inventive dishes that are refined and subtle, following the seasons and his inspiration of the moment.

LATE MORNING : Start of the winery tour at Château Bardins (AOC-ISO Standard) situated in Pessac Léognan district in the northern part of the Graves region of Bordeaux (Left Bank) . We will spend a good time with a guide, visiting all the wine makers around between lunch and wine tasting of 4 regions : Médoc, Saint Emilion, Bordeaux and Graves and their 5 most known grapes : Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon and Sémillon.


LUNCH : Exclusive private picnic lunch Walkers and NON-Walkers alike – A friendly welcome to Château Bardins a warmful and historic site managed by Stella the owner of the castle where wine tasting are conducted by Pascale the oenologist. Lunch is comprised of local specialities accompanied by the estate’s “Grand Cru” wines.

Day 3

OPTION #1 – Departure for a leisure day in historical downtown Bordeaux. Guests are invited for a quick introductory walking tour of the city’s historical sites before setting off to explore on their own. Excellent shopping, wine boutiques, and exceptional scenery walking along the renovated banks of the Garonne River. There are endless ways to spend the day here. Exploring Bordeaux is a true step back in French history, and has something to offer and interest every traveler.

OPTION #2 – Any guests interested in the Caudalie & Vinotherapy Spa services (additional fees apply), please contact us in advance and we can help you organise a reservation for a spa treatment or a half-day spa session. Today offers a perfect opportunity to pursue independent interests, try the caudalie spa, a massage or other spa service for anyone not heading to Bordeaux for the day.

Bicycles are also available to borrow to enjoy a ride around the local vineyard filled countryside or simply enjoy a walk in the village.

LUNCH: Independently in Bordeaux or in the village for those not venturing into the city today. Return to the hotel and dinner.

Head to Cap Ferret for Oyster farm visiting and oyster tasting in a shack (or other local seafood if you do not appreciate oysters) Located in Piraillan harbour the shack enjoys a view of the Pyla Dune and the idyllic backdrop of Bird Island.

Back to Hotel for preparation to a Farewell dinner at Château Troplong Mondot’s restaurant.

DAY 6 – Tour Conclusion, Group Departure

Tour Hotel:

The Logis de la Cadène founded in 1848 in the heart of Saint Emilion village and property of Boüard de Laforest family.

Hubert de Boüard de Laforest joined the family business at Château Angélus (also property of he same family) in 1985. Along with several modernising changes, the practice of maturing in new oak was begun in 1980. The estate has been classified as a Premier grand cru classé since 2012, was previously a Premier grand cru classé since 1996, and was before that classified as Grand cru classé. But according to research of journalist Isabelle Saporta, Hubert de Boüard is judge and jury in the preparation of the classification.– NEVER ANY HOTEL HOPPING.
